Daniel Reimer is proud to belong to a generation that experienced and was addicted to the first video games such as Pong, Space Invaders, and Pac Man. To this day, he remains a passionate gamer of select games. Movies and TV series held a parallel fascination and passion for him. Reimer grew up with films such as Metropolis, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, The Return Of The Jedi, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Tron, Star Trek, Alien, Blade Runner, Robocop, Dark Star, Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape from New York, and many others. He had a DVD collection of over 2,500 titles. He was also one of the first people in Germany to collect anime, long before it became popular in the US. He ordered NTSC VHS tapes from a Japanese bookstore and paid 400 to 500 Deutschmarks per tape. Akira, Ghost In The Shell, Angel Cop, Bubblegum Crisis, Dirty Pair, and many others graced his collection. Later, he switched to NTSC laserdiscs, the predecessor to DVDs. Reimer refers to this time as a significant and bygone era of film.

"At that time, I and many others thought about what the future would bring in terms of wonderful and fascinating films and series! I assumed that film, storytelling, and the dramatic development of all characters would continue to evolve and improve, synergistically with ever-better-looking sets, environments, and visual effects, to create unforgettable experiences that would fascinate and inspire millions of viewers. I was so idealistic and naive, it's very embarrassing!"

In early 2026, Reimer completed his neo-expressionist short film “FLUX”, which serves as a prologue to his debut feature film. With a budget of only €1,500, the artist created a powerful, minimalist dystopian visual style and mood that sets the tone for the debut film. The production took 10 years from start to finish. Reimer says: "Some things take a little longer to come to fruition."

The short film is not currently available to the public. Only the crew, actors from the debut film, and a select few individuals can access a link.
